Founder and Principal DesignerDeborah Berger brings a unique portfolio of professional expertise to every project. She has an extensive professional background which includes big business advertising in the New York ad world, managing projects of all sizes across the country, and studying interior design at a masters level at the New England School of Art and Design in Boston (NESAD). She founded Maven in 2007 and, over the years, several design students and junior-level designers have apprenticed with her. Deb received her Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler Certificate in spring 2014, an achievement recognized by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), with whom she is a past member. Deborah is active member of the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA) and the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
Junior DesignerLauren Gifford began working with Maven in fall 2014. She is currently completing her Master of Arts in Interior Architecture at the New England School of Art and Design in Boston, with a concentration in residential design. Lauren’s undergraduate degree in art history and studio fine art plays a profound role in her approach to design, and curation of interiors. In 2015, Lauren won the People’s Choice award for DESIGN New England magazine’s first annual Student Design Showdown for her design of a Newbury Street residence. She is an active member of the national organization American Society of Interior Designers New England Chapter (ASIDNE).
